If you have been turned down for credit within the past ten days because of information in a credit report, you can get a copy of the report free. In addition, you are entitled to one free copy of your credit report each year under federal law.
FICO credit scores: FICO scores generally range between 300 and 850, the higher the better. Your score is computed from information the credit reporting agencies have on file, which comes from lenders and other providers of credit and from public records.
